Christian Life School Board is in accordance with
the policy followed by Kenosha Unified School District in "school
closings," with rare exception as deemed necessary by Christian Life School
administration. The decision to close will be made between the hours of 6:00am
to 7:00am.
Christian Life Daycare/Preschool will NOT close due to inclement
weather. Their policy is, "If you can get there, we can get
there."
Please note that parents are always encouraged to make decisions from their
own environment that will ensure the safety of their children.
We are confident on following their process
since they have the Supervisor of Transportation drive the streets and roads to
see if they are safe to travel. He also checks official weather forecasts with
the County Highway Department, the Sheriff's Department, the Police Department,
and the City Transit Office. We feel these findings are pertinent since the
safety of the student and staff is our primary consideration to make the
decision to close school.
The school district uses a guideline for closing
schools, temperatures of -20 degrees F or lower and/or sustained wind shills of
-40 degrees F or lower.
As always, parents/guardians are reminded to make a sound judgment on
whether they feel it is safe for their child to attend school in accordance with
their own environment.
If weather worsens during the day, radio and
television stations listed are contacted and advised of any early closings. You
are also encouraged to call the school of you feel it is necessary for us to
allow your child to go home early (usually in the case of high school self
driven students) to ensure their safety.
Below is a list of television stations,
radio stations, and a website that will be notified in the case of school
delays, closings, or cancellations.
