The basic guideline for enrolling a child in Kindergarten at Christian Life School is for that child to reach the age of five years by September 1st of the year entering the program. Following enrollment, all incoming Kindergarten students take the Kindergarten Readiness Test (KRT) administered by the Kindergarten teacher.

If parents desire their child to be considered as an enrollee for the upcoming fall term of Kindergarten though the age prerequisite is not met, the child must score no less than 45 on the KRT. This requirement is to more likely ensure the child's success in the Kindergarten program.

Even when the child scores a 45 of higher and is accepted, please be advised that age and maturity are large factors to be taken into consideration. Should your child not complete Kindergarten successfully, retention could be possible.

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Kindergarten! This will be a fun and exciting year for you and your child as they grow and develop through this experience. It is a big step that your child is taking and we are respectful of the amount of trust that you are placing in our committed and dedicated staff.

Proverbs 22:6 states, "Train this child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." We believe in this truth and desire to partner with you to fulfill this in your child's life.

As stated in our mission statement: "Our mission is to glorify God by providing quality, Christ-centered education, dedicated to developing students who are spiritually, personally, and academically prepared to impact their world." This is our goal for each student. You can feel confident that your child will be given the tools that are necessary to be prepared.

We encourage you to become involved in your child's experience by volunteering in your child's classroom and through parental participation in fieldtrips and other classroom activities.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call or drop by the office to set up and appointment.

Educating for Christ,

Mrs. Christie Gould
Elementary Principal

Field Trips
Three field trips and a picnic are schedule through out the school year. The first trip is to Green Meadow Farm in Waterford, WI. It is usually scheduled in the middle of October. We end the year with a trip to the Milwaukee Zoo. Each field trip needs five parents to go long and drive. All Kindergartener's are required to use booster seats.

School Supplies
In early August, you will get a supply list from the school. Please note the specific items that are listed below:
Glue sticks need to be the FAT ones because the children have better success at using the fat sticks and they last longer.
Crayons need to be Crayola brand; some of the other brands are not true colors.
Scissors need to be metal blades, preferably the "Fiskers" brand.
Rest mats should be the kind that roll up. JCPenny's had them in the infant department in past years. Learning Express has also carried them. Child size sleeping bags are too large.
