Missions

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world (James 1:27).

The purpose of Christian Life School Missions (CLSM) is to introduce students to the vast, diverse cultures and multilevel condition of a global society. We strive to provide an avenue for our students to interact and serve various cultures by distributing humanitarian aid to remote areas of the world i.e., food and clothing, medical care, pure drinking water, and hygiene education. It is our goal that through interacting with multiethnic people, our students will develop compassion for others, and have a dynamic Christian worldview that will affect the future of all.

For the past eight years, CLSM has taken teams of students to minister in Easter Europe, primarily Hungary and Romania. In the past years, the teams have...

  • given food to widows in their homes, ministered to the homeless living in sewers, and completed the construction of a chicken coop in order that a home for poor and elderly could be self-sustaining.
  • remodeled rooms and a playground at an orphanage, raised funds to purchase a delivery trick and kitchen equipment for the Meals on Wheels program, and purchased a car for a minister who could not afford to take his wife and children to church -- yet rode his bicycle to the separate churches he pastors in two different towns.
  • distributed clothing, shoes, medical, and hygiene supplies to children in orphanages who would otherwise lacked these items.
  • sent funds to purchase water purifications after the area had experienced four months of sustained flooding.

We have literally gone wherever we have been asked to go – and whether we've gone to schools, rural churches, gypsy villages, large cities, or small towns, our students have learned to be ready to share their faith. Through this, we hope they will have a new awareness of serving Jesus Christ, which will prepare them to impact their world.
