Dress Code
Tops
Acceptable
- Nice t-shirts & sweatshirts
including those with brand
names, locations, colleges,
teams, Christian slogans, collard
dress shirts, polo, rugby, crew or
turtleneck shirts. Pullover
sweaters or cardigans are also
allowed.
- Tops must have at least a
capped sleeve. Sports Jerseys
only allowed on designated days.
Unacceptable
- No t-shirts or sweatshirts with
individual names, musical
groups, violent, satanic or
questionable slogans or
pictures. No "attitude" shirts
ie. What's your problem?
- No tank tops, tight fitting
shirts, athletic jerseys or off the-shoulder tops that reveal
tank tops and straps.
- No sleeveless shirts or
blouses.
- No exposed midriffs, low-cut
necklines (front or back),
mesh, sheer or see-through
material.
Pants
Acceptable
- Dress, casual, khakis, corduroy,
carpenter, denim.
- Jeans are allowed in keeping
with being neat, clean and
modest
- Capris and gauchos must be
mid-calf length.
- Leggings must be accompanied
with a long shirt or skirt no more
than 1 inch above the knee
Unacceptable
- No culottes, low-sagging
pants, extremely over-sized
pants, ragged or cut edges.
- No tight, revealing or form
fitting pants no matter what
the fabric or style.
- No sweat pants, wind pants,
jogging suits, yoga pants or
bib overalls.
- Shorts are not allowed unless
you are in Kindergarten.
- No jeans or other pants with
holes or frayed edges or
writing on the backside.
Skirts/Dresses
Acceptable
- Hemlines on skirts & dresses
must measure no more than one
inch above the knee even with
leggings.
Unacceptable
- No mini-skirts or skirts (more
than 1 inch above the knee
even with leggings or pants).
- No extreme slits (2 inches
above knee).
Shoes
Acceptable
- Dress, tennis, casual, boots,
sandals, and flip flops.
Shoelaces are to be tied. Tennis
shoes needed for gym class.
Unacceptable
- No snow boots or rubber
boots inside.
- No "heelies" being used at
school or any school function.
Hair
Acceptable
- Boys' hair should cover no more
than the top half of the ear.
- Boys' hair should not be over the
collar or touch the eyebrows
when combed down.
Unacceptable
- No extreme hairstyles,
unnaturally dyed hair,
bleached-white or shaved
cuts.
Other Unacceptable Items
- No hats of any kind during
school
- No extreme make up,
including black nail polish.
- No Superhero, Bakugan and
Pokemon articles
- No Rolling back packs unless
a doctor's note is received.
- No camouflage of any
kind/color
- No wrist bands (except CLS
spirit wear) handkerchiefs,
studs,and bandanas
- No skulls, crossbones,
satanic or violent symbols
Things to consider:
- Color: Ask "These cotton pants
are grey, do they appear to be
sweat or athletic wear?"
- Size: Ask "Does this item fit
modestly, even though the
material is acceptable?"
- Style: Ask "Does this outfit as a
whole give the appearance of
being neat, clean and modest?"
- Individuality: Ask "Even though
this outfit is acceptable, is it
appropriate for my child's body
type?"
